ANCHO INVITES MEMBERS AND OTHER TO AGM.
11th August 2006
-- ANCHO are holding their sixth Annual
General Meeting on Wednesday 23 August 2006 at the Volunteer Rooms,
Irvine at 7.00pm. All Members of ANCHO are welcome, and are encouraged
to attend and play their part in influencing the future of ANCHO. As
usual, ANCHO members who attend will have the chance to win in the
Association’s prize draw.

The
meeting is also open to ANCHO tenants and the general public, even if
they are not Members of ANCHO – although they can’t participate in any
votes, they can come and watch. Elaine Gibson, Director, said, ‘This
openness of access to meetings is unique to ANCHO in Ayrshire, and is
seen as an important aspect of accountability by ANCHO’s 12-strong
Management Board. If non-Members like what they see at the meeting, and
want to be part of it, Membership Application forms will be available on
the night. It costs only £1 to take a share-holding membership’.
Secretary of ANCHO’s Management Board, Sam Walker added, ‘It is
important that any Members who haven’t attended any previous AGM since
they joined ANCHO try to attend this year. This is because the
Membership will be automatically revoked if a Member misses five AGM’s
in a row, without presenting apologies. Our Membership, and their views
are very important to us, and we don’t want to lose a single one of
them. We would also ask Members to note the change of venue this year
to the Volunteer Rooms. We hope that this change does not affect our
previously high attendance levels.’ |
